Typical beach portraits often feature sand, seagrass and driftwood. So for something a little different, look no further than Hug Point (located 45 mins south of Astoria). Amazing colorful rock formations and waterfalls make this location stand out. Combine that with an amazing sky and your portrait backgrounds will be taken to the next level.

This location is very tide dependant. Low tide is a must in order to move around and have access to everything. Thankfully with smartphones I don’t have to break out a tide chart to tell you when your session needs to happen.

Hug point is easy to walk to, so it will be more crowded in Summer, so it’s best to avoid weekends for sessions. There is a bathroom in the parking lot, so that makes outfit changes easier (who doesn’t like that?).
